Health and Safety Policy

The objective of this Health & Safety Policy is to establish a framework for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

At R.S Skips Ltd, we prioritise the health and safety of our employees and others. We acknowledge our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment on our premises and properties, in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

We are committed to working collaboratively with our employees to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. We recognise our duty to prevent harm to others as a result of our activities.

In accordance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, we will take all reasonably feasible steps to meet our health and safety responsibilities by conducting risk assessments and ensuring:

  • Safe provision and maintenance of all plant, equipment, and systems of work.
  • Safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage, and transportation of equipment, materials, and waste products.
  • Provision of adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision to help employees identify hazards and avoid risks, thereby contributing to their own health and safety at work.
  • A safe and healthy working environment, including safe access to and egress from it.

R.S Skips Ltd is dedicated to involving all employees in our health and safety efforts through effective consultation and communication at all levels. Our Safety Policy will be reviewed regularly, and any updates will be communicated to all employees.

Employees of R.S Skips Ltd have a duty to adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy. Each employee is responsible for:

  • Acting with due care to prevent injury to themselves and others.
  • Reporting accidents, equipment damage, and potential hazards to their employer.
  • Following agreed safe working procedures, including the correct use of safety and protective equipment.

Employees must inform their employer if they are unable to operate equipment or follow safe systems they are unfamiliar with. It is R.S Skips Ltd’s responsibility to provide correct and sufficient information, training, and supervision.
